Engage the children in singing the “Hokey Pokey” using shapes. Give each child a shape to hold and use to put it in the circle instead of a body part. “Put your triangle in. Take your triangle out. Do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around.” After a couple of rounds have the children swap shapes so they have practice with various shapes. This could be done in large group.
