Share photographs and pictures that reflect all the important ways we use water: for drinking, washing clothes, bathing, flushing a toilet or cleaning a house. People and animals use it for swimming too. Ask the children, “How do we fill a tub to take a bath? When we wash our hands, how can we control whether the water comes out fast or slow? How can water fit into the bottles of water we drink? If we leave water in a pool in the sun, what happens to it?” Choose one question for further exploration.
