Have a chart with two columns labeled “I Wonder” and “I Observed.” Provide the children with an apple or pear cut in half, as well as tweezers and magnifying glasses. Encourage the children to explore the apple and dictate to you what they wonder and what they observe. This activity could be done in small group.
