Have children sit in a circle. The teacher will hold up the “lost shape” so the child knows what shape he/she is searching. Let one child walk around the circle as the class sings the following song: Lost my (shape) what do I do? Lost my (shape). What do I do? Lost my (shape). What do I do? Skip to my Lou my darling.Have multiple shapes in the center of the circle and have the child that is walking around the circle find the “lost shape” that the teacher was holding up. This could be done in large group.
