Send home fire evacuation plans, and have families help their children complete the plan for their home. Ask the families to return the plan to class. Use the plans for a small group activity, and have the children share their escape plan and talk about how they practiced this skill. Use LEGO®s or plastic toy people to act as family members. This can be done in small group.
