Cut easel-sized paper in the shape of large block letters in the art center. Invite the children to paint “their” letter in any way they choose. Colorful masking tape makes a great addition to easel painting. The children can put it on the paper before or after adding paint. Adding salt to the paint gives it texture and a subtle sparkle.
