Attach VELCRO® dots or magnets to simple picture cards of different daily routines (such as washing hands, reading a book or of a child napping). Tell a story about activities during a typical day, and use the name of one of the children in the class. As you tell the story, put the appropriate picture card on the flannel or magnet board. “Laila came into class with her mommy and started playing with the blocks. Then she danced to the music. After that, she ate lunch. She listened to a story and took a nap. When she woke up she went outside to play, and when she got back inside her mommy was there to pick her up!”
