Read There Were Ten in the Bed by Annie Kubler, Ten in the Bed by Jane Cabrera or Ten in the Bed by Gill Guile. Place a sleeping mat or a folded quilt on the floor to represent the bed. Have ten children lie side-by-side on the bed. As you read or sing the story, the children roll over together and one rolls off the bed. Encourage children to act out what each character does, complete with animal sounds. Lots of fun! This could be done in large group.
