Demonstrate directionality using a stuffed animal such as a bunny. Place it in various places in relation to a child such as next to, behind, or in front of. Say the words as you move the bunny. "The bunny is next to Avery. Now, the bunny is behind Michael." Then give the children stuffed toys and encourage them to put the animals in the position you call out.
