Read Recycle! A Handbook for Kids by Gail Gibbons. Create a KWL (Knows/Wants to Know/ Learned) chart about recycling. Ask the children what they know about recycling and what they want to know. Review the chart and ask the children what they have learned.  This could be done in large group.
