Using four pieces of construction paper, number each paper one through four. Tape them to the floor near the door to the room. Have the children line up according to the number of syllables in their names. As you call each child forward, have him/ her listen carefully to the number of syllables in his/ her name and stand on the corresponding paper. As the other children come forward, have them form lines behind the first child.
