Encourage group discussion during routine times such as snack and lunch. Conversations can be about what food is being served or activities that occur throughout the day. Ask questions: "What do you think we are having for lunch today?" Build on the children's responses: "Chicken nuggets are one of my favorites too. Do you like to use any dipping sauces?"
