Missing Halves

Select simple pictures from magazines such as animals, fruits, cars, houses or shapes. Cut them in half and laminate them. Place one set of half pictures throughout the classroom. Keep the other set of half pictures for the children. Demonstrate the activity by having the children help you find the missing half to one of the pictures. Once they make the match and understand the activity, provide each child with half of another picture and have them search for the missing half. Assist them as needed.
