Moon Rock Throw

Have the children use newspaper or aluminum foil rolled into balls that resemble rocks. Use a large mixing bowl and describe it as a moon crater. Have the children toss their "moon rock" into the crater. Once filled, count with the children the number of rocks it takes to fill the crater. Try it a couple of times with smaller or larger moon rocks.
