Create a Nature Café. Take the children on a nature walk during outdoor time. Give each child a brown bag and encourage them to pick up items found in nature such as small stones, sticks and leaves. Encourage the children to use these items to pretend to cook. Ask questions like, “The food smells good.  What you are cooking?”
