Add cornstarch to water to make this unique sensory material that has properties of both a liquid and a solid. Start with a cup or so of water in a bowl and add the cornstarch a bit at a time. You will probably use one-and-a-half to two times as much cornstarch as water. Keep mixing until it has a gooey consistency. If you grab a handful and squeeze it, it will feel solid but if you release the pressure it will ooze through your fingers.
