During outdoor time, create an obstacle course for the children to practice following directions and moving about in various ways. Include movements such as walking with a ball on your head, throwing a ball into baskets, moving with a ball between your legs, and jumping over, through and inside a hula-hoop. Put exercise mats on the ground for the children to practice somersaults, rolls and headstands.
