Pass the Potato

In small group, give children a sentence to repeat.  For example, "the puppy likes to eat macaroni and cheese".  Have the children practice saying the sentence two times before starting the activity.  Provide a potato and have the children pass the potato around the small group once for every word in the sentence.  The child holding the potato at the end of the sentence transitions to the next activity.  Continue until all children have transitioned.
