Show the children the work of various artists in books or on the computer. Engage the children in conversation about the exhibit. Ask, “What do you see in this picture? How do you think the person is feeling? What colors or shapes did they use? What materials were used to create the art? How are the pieces of artwork similar or different?” Some artists may include Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet and Eric Carle.
