Red Light, Green Light

In this game, one child plays the role of “stop light” and the rest try to touch him/her. During outdoor time, have the children form a line about 15 feet away from the “stop light.” The “stop light” faces away from them and says “green light.” At this point, the children should move toward the “stop light.” At any point the stop light may say “red light!” and turn around. If any of the children are moving, they go back to the line they started on and begin again. Movement resumes when the stop light turns around and says “green light.” The first player to make it to the “stop light” and touch him/her is the one to play the “stop light” for the next game.
