Turn off the lights. Use a flashlight to read Whose Shadow Is This? by Claire Berge. Ask the children if they have ever used a flashlight. Show them how flashlights can also be used to create shadows. Have pre-cut silhouette animal shapes to use to form shadows on a wall or bulletin board.This could be done in large group.
