Give each child a small cup of water and one Alka-SelzerR tablet. Point out the physical properties of each item. Ask each child to drop the tablet into their water. As it starts to bubble, ask the children to put their hand over the cup to feel the liquid turn into a gas. Then read: Change It!: Solids, Liquids, Gases And You by Adrienne Mason. This can be done in small group.
