Provide an opportunity for children to create Jackson Pollack-inspired splatter paintings. During outdoor time, attach butcher paper to a wall or fence and demonstrate for the children how to fill a paintbrush with paint and carefully splatter the paint onto the paper. A less messy way may be to put paint into restaurant- style squeeze bottles and allow the children to paint by squeezing the paint stream onto the paper.
