Read the book The Lion and the Mouse by Jerry Pinkney. After the lion lets the mouse go, the mouse ends up coming to the lion's rescue. Talk about the kindness between the animals, how they helped each other and about times when the children need help. Make a classroom pledge: “Be Kind and Help One Another!”
