Read Cars and Trucks and Things that Go by Richard Scarry. Provide a selection of small vehicles for the children to push along a playmat or teacher-made roadway. Create two posters, one that has a picture of an animal that moves fast and one that moves slowly. Have the children move their small vehicles fast or slowly when they see the corresponding picture.
