Provide the children with a tub filled with mud, water and rocks. Paint some of the small rocks with silver and gold paint. Provide small shovels, rakes and sieves for exploration and explain to the children that they are going on a treasure hunt to find silver and gold. Have the children use the tools to sift through the muddy water to find their treasure.
