On Fridays, send home a stuffed bear with each child. Encourage children and parents to have the bear participate in all of the family activities. If possible, ask the parent to take pictures and send them to school on Monday. Have the child talk about what he/she and Beary did over the weekend such as, “We watched cartoons and ate pancakes,” or “We visited my Grandma and we played soccer with my brother.”
