Box Play Push and Pull

Decorate boxes of various sizes with colorful butcher paper. Make sure the boxes are large enough for the children to push or pull. Attach a very short, thick rope, knotted from the inside, to the outside of each box so that the children can use it to pull the box. Indoors or outdoors, placea start and finish line. Place weighted items such as hollow blocks inside the boxes and encourage the children to push the boxes to the finish line. Have them pull the boxes back to the starting line.
