Read demographic multicultural books to help the children understand how they fit into a much larger world. Suggested titles include We are All Alike…We are All Different by Cheltenham Elementary Kindergartners and Laura Dwight; The Native Americans Told Us So, a Ranger Rick Science Spectacular; Feast for 10 by Cathryn Falwell; The Magic Bojabi Tree by Dianne Hofmeyr or Families by Ann Morris. This could be done in large group.
