Which Is Longer?

Show the children two items – a scarf and a table, for example – and ask them to guess which is longer. Lay the scarf on the table to compare. Do this with other items in the classroom. Compare the length of a pencil to a marker, or a ruler to a book. Show the children how to lay them side by side and compare them to check their guess.
