Can You Make It?

You will need pattern blocks and picture cards you have made of the pattern blocks in a design. For example, three yellow triangles stacked on top of each other. Show the children the picture, and encourage them to study the picture closely for 30 seconds. Cover up the picture and ask the children to create their design from memory. After they are finished, have the children look at the picture and “fix” their shapes to match the picture. This can be done in small group.
