Use pattern blocks and pattern block cards to make pictures and provide an opportunity for the children to match the shapes. An easy task would include the entire shape outlined and colored in with the matching color of the required block. Whereas, a harder option would be to have only a black outline of the entire picture without any clues to the shapes or colors of the blocks that are used. This can be done in small group.
