Give the children a small bowl of M&Ms or Skittles. First, have them sort the candy by color. Provide a graphing sheet for each child. The children can either graph their candies directly on the graph sheet or they can color one square to represent each candy, which is more difficult. When they are finished, ask questions such as, “How many green Skittles do you have? How many red? What color do you have in the least amount?” Eat the candies when done.
