Provide the children with recycled greeting cards and envelopes. Use just the fronts of the cards if desired. Encourage the children to write lettersto family members or friends. Show them how to put the cards in the envelopes and how to write on the envelopes to indicate who the cards are for. Create a class mailbox where the children can place the letters for delivery. Make sure families or caregivers receive the cards and letters at the end of the day.
