Read All By Myself by Mercer Mayer to children who are interested in listening. Throughout the day, encourage the children to try to do things independently. For example, at lunch give the children small amounts of milk to drink from small plastic cups without lids. Encourage the children to try to put on their own shoes or sweaters.
