Counting Dots

Provide the children with sheets of paper with dots in various configurations and amounts up to five. Write the corresponding numeral on each sheet. Count the dots with the children as you point to each one. Have the children place one large manipulative on each of the dots. Count the manipulatives as the children place them on the dots. Once all the dots have been covered, count the number of manipulatives on the paper.
