Crossing the River

Create an imaginary river, using yarn or tape to mark its boundaries. Divide the class into two groups and give each group a limited number of paper plates. Tell the children they have to work together to cross the river, using the lily pads (paper plates), and that their feet have to be on a lily pad while crossing.  This could be done in large group.
