Provide the children with paper and a drawing tool. Encourage them to follow your verbal directions to draw a picture. For example, “Draw a small dot in the middle of the paper. Draw a line from the dot to the bottom. Start at the dot and draw a circle above the line.” These directions will create a picture that resembles a balloon on a string.   This activity could be done in small group.
