Provide children with an opportunity to examine and touch a bar of Ivory® soap. Place the soap on a microwave-safe plate and microwave it for approximately 11/2 minutes. The soap will expand. Once the soap has cooled, have the children examine the soap again. Discuss how it is similar and different.
